Retail solutions that convert shoppers into loyal customers

A word from Matthieu Houlard, IT System Manager

Maisons du Monde entrusted Aurea in mid-2022 with the task of implementing a module for managing supplier year-end discounts and improving its margins, with the ambitious goal of going live in early 2023. The challenge was brilliantly met by Vryas's experts on a business process that was entirely new to us, and resulted in a ROI of X40 in 6 months, making it one of the most successful projects ever carried out between Maisons du monde and its service providers. Overall, we're perfectly satisfied with Vrya's support in our various transformation projects.

A word from Guillaume Gillet, Supply Chain Business Project Manager, Project and Transformation Department

The Oxyane group has deployed the Store.OS mobility solution by Vrya across its entire store network in the second half of 2023. The processes deployed are:

  • Receiving with batch number integration for products requiring it
  • Order preparation
  • Counter sales
  • Inventory with batch number management
  • Store label editions
  • Supply requests

The main challenge of the project was change management, since the old solution was barely used, and even not at all, for certain sites or processes. To get users on board, Oxyane and Vrya focused the specifications book on:

  • Optimal ergonomics to facilitate the legibility of information on each screen throughout the flow of data, and thus bring users on board thanks to intuitive ergonomics
  • The use of offline mode. The absence of a disconnected mode on the previous solution was a major obstacle to its use.
  • Traceability elements (batch number, date of manufacture thanks to Datamatrix code scanning) can be read on all processes, making it easy and time-saving for the user to integrate these elements

Focus on the inventory campaign which involved 70 stores in the network:
The 70 inventories were carried out in 1 month and a half. All were carried out on the move using the Store.OS solution, including on sites with low network coverage, since the solution's offline mode made it possible to manage the integration of products and their quantities in the inventory logs without worrying about the presence or absence of a network, synchronizing the data as soon as the network was found.

The benefits of this inventory campaign:

  • More reliable regulatory data (batch numbers deployed throughout the network thanks to mobility)
  • Save time by scanning the Datamatrix code, which integrates cardboard data (PCB), batch number and date of manufacture in a single scan.
  • The ability to carry out computerized inventories in spite of zones not covered by Wifi, which used to be a problem and were requesting a return to paper.

Another indirect effect of the smooth running of the inventories was to enable users to be totally reassured about the relevance and efficiency of the mobility tool. Reassuring users so as to generalize mobile use to all the processes deployed, which is always complicated when deploying such a solution on such a scale.
